At CTL, every belt color has a purpose. It's not just about learning punches and kicks—it’s about growing as a person and walking closer to God. After starting as a White Belt and learning to plant the seed of discipline, students move to the second rank: Orange Belt.
This belt represents faith—the belief that even when we can’t see results right away, growth is happening inside.
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
This verse reminds us that just because we don’t see changes yet, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening. Like a seed growing in the dark soil, our skills, character, and spirit are taking root.
What Does Orange Belt Mean at CTL?
The Orange Belt marks a new stage. It’s the beginning of real training. Students are expected to:
Show more focus during class
Be responsible with their uniform and attendance
Start showing self-control and kindness to others
We talk a lot about doing the right thing even when no one is watching. That’s faith in action. That’s living by what we know is right, not just by what we see.
At this level, students may not feel like martial artists yet. That’s okay. Like the early growth of a tree, it takes time. What matters is that they believe in the process and keep showing up.
Parents, How You Can Help:
Encourage your child even when they feel discouraged.
Help them memorize 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Remind them that their growth may not be visible yet—but it is happening!
At CTL, Orange Belt isn’t just a belt. It’s a declaration of faith—a promise to trust the journey and keep moving forward.
